MY WEEKEND AT ROCKY MOUNTAIN NATIONAL PARK

August 19, 2012

I had a great time this weekend with Mommy and my little sister Gracie.  We stayed at Rocky Mountain National Park Saturday and Sunday with Mommy while she was on duty.  I was a very good girl and so was Gracie.  We stayed with Mommy while she did her job and got to hang out and got lots of hugs from all the visitors.  We gave them doggie kisses too.

We stayed at a cabin with Mommy and some of her friends Saturday night.  I made a new doggie friend and we played a lot.

Sunday morning we had breakfast at Upper Beaver Meadows in the Park.  Ddn't see any beavers, but I did see some big Elk.  For lunch, we ate at a picnic table with lots of Aspen trees around, somewhere close to Fall River.

I sure was pooped when I got home.  So was Gracie.  We took a nice long nap.

Mommy said I was very good and can go with her to more places.  YAY MOMMY!

ME AND MY PAL

July 25, 2012

My new little sister, Gracie, is definitely my new BFF - my best pal - we play together, sleep side by side and cuddle up with Mommy together - we go for rides in Mommy's truck and get treats - she's getting bigger very fast and at 22 weeks old, she's almost as big as me - something tells me with those big paws of hers, that she's going to be bigger than me - I guess I better watch out for those big puppy kisses!

I am almost finished with Intermediate Doggie School - Mommy said I will get a special surprise when I finish - I hope it's a big BONE!

ANYA'S BUSY SUMMER

July 2, 2012

ANYA'S BUSY SUMMER!

It's been a busy summer for me, Mommy and my new baby sister Gracie.  It has also been very hot here in Colorado and we have had a lot of fires and smoke.

I started Intermediate Training at PetsMart and I will graduate in a couple of weeks.  It's too hot to go outside, so I play  a lot with Gracie inside.  Also, I get to sit in Mommy's lap and sometimes she gives me icecubes to lick.

I am on my back letting Gracie jump on me - FUN!

I am in my mommy's lap watching tv - she said I am getting so big she can't see the screen (HEE)

ANYA IS A GOOD BIG SISTER!

04/30/2012

My new baby sister, Gracie, is almost 10 weeks old and I am teaching her some new tricks.  We play a lot together, and I am careful not to hurt her, since she is so tiny.  She jumps around on me a lot and I show her how to play with toys.  I taught her how to go potty outside and I am teaching her how to learn from me when Mommy gives me commands.  She is doing very good.

Here is a picture of us playing together with Shuggah.  We are showing her how to play with a tug toy.

Good girl, Gracie!

IT'S A GIRL - IT'S A BOXER - IT'S ANYA'S NEW PLAYMATE!

04/21/2012

WELCOME TO OUR FAMILY, GRACIE MARSTON!

Mommy told me that she had a big surprise for me today - she left for awhile and came home with a brand new puppy for me to play with!

I get lonely without a playmate, except when Shuggah is here - and I know that Shuggah and Jake will move someday and that will make me sad and lonely with no one to play with.  Mommy knew that I really like boxers, like Shuggah.  Mommy said she has been looking for the perfect baby sister for me since we moved to our new home, and she found GRACIE!

GRACIE MARSTON was born on Leap Day - February 29, 2012 - in New Raymer, Colorado, on a farm.  Her mommy is a brindle boxer - her daddy is a white boxer.  I thought maybe we should call her leapfrog, but Mommy didn't like that name.  Mommy said, since my name, Anya, means "God's Grace" in Russian, she named my new baby sister "Gracie", which means the same thing.  Mommy said she feels very blessed to have 2 angels from Heaven.

The first day she came home, I kinda sniffed her alot - wasn't sure what she was - never saw a small puppy before.  Then the next day, I played with her a little more, but mostly just sniffed her and let her come up to me and check me out.  Then, the third day, I figured out she was a real dog, even though she's very small right now.  And now, we are blood-sisters - the best of friends.  Even Shuggah and my sister-cat Cheyenne like her.

GRACIE has the most adorable face - and she gives me lots of doggie kisses too!  I let her jump all over me and play.  I am very careful not to hurt her.  And, we all sleep in the same room with Mommy.

Here are a few pictures of my new baby sister, GRACIE MARSTON.  She will get as big as me some day.  But right now, Mommy she's about the size of a ruler.  WHAT'S A RULER?

I GOT SHOT!!!

March 10, 2012

Mommy tricked me - she took me to a place that I thought was the pet store - and a lady gave me a shot! Mommy said it was a rabies shot to keep me from getting sick. Oh, well, at least I didn't cry. I was a good girl. Then, Mommy gave me a special treat for being good, so, I guess it was worth it.

On the other hand, my sister, Cheyenne Marie (the kitty), got her shots too - so at least it was fair.

GET "CHIPPED" BEFORE IT'S TOO LATE!

March 7, 2012

GET "CHIPPED" BEFORE IT'S TOO LATE!

Today, Mommy is so thankful that I got "chipped", that is, microchipped, before she adopted me. I was playing in my new back yard yesterday, when I saw something I wanted to play with (I think it was a squirrel, but I'm not sure) - anyway, I jumped the fence and started running and playing and got lost - my Mommy was at work, so she couldn't help me - however, a very nice stranger saw me and caught me - then, he called the Animal Control people to help me find my Mommy - they took me to a very nice place called the "Longmont Humane Society" and they scanned my chip and called my Mommy right away!

My Mommy would be lost without me - she is very thankful that I did not get run over by a car and that I did not get lost forever. Be sure to tell your Mommy to get you "chipped" so you can be found if you ever get lost.

Oh, by the way, I now have to be on a very long lead outside when Mommy isn't around - she wants me to be safe so we can cuddle when she gets home from work. That's okay with me - I don't want to get lost anymore either.

IT'S FINALLY HERE - I GOT MY BIG SURPRISE!

January 27, 2012

IT'S FINALLY HERE - I GOT MY BIG SURPRISE!

Well, first, Mommy took me and my sister Cheyenne to the Petsmart Grooming for a full day of beautify spa - I got my nails done and I got FURMINATED!

Then, Mommy picked us up, and took us to our new home! Yes, Mommy bought us a new home with a BIG BACK YARD just for me to play in! And, I really, really love it! I have plenty of room, my own dog igloo to stay in when I am tired outside, and a great big cottonwood tree that has squirrels in it. They are my new friends now. I chase them all over the yard.

I also got another big surprise - a GREAT BIG MEATY BONE! My big bubba Tony gave it to me when we got to the new house. I also got a new doggie mattress to sleep on Mommy's bed. My sister cat, Cheyenne, loves the new home too. By the way, we get along much better now that we have more room. We both sleep with Mommy.

I LOVE MY NEW HOME! I LOVE MY NEW BONE! I LOVE MY MOMMY!

3 MORE DAYS!!!

January 23, 2012

Mommy said I will get a big surprise in 3 days!
Oh boy, oh boy - I can't wait!
I can't count either - but I still can't wait!

I know something is going on because Mommy and my big bubba Tony have been putting a lot of stuff in boxes and there are lots of boxes all over the house - it kinda makes me nervous, but Mommy gives me lots of hugs and kisses and doggie treats, so I am not too nervous (I think). My big sister cat (Cheyenne) LOVES the boxes - she jumps all over them and hides in them sometimes.

Hmmmm - I wonder what's my big surprise in 3 days - does it have to do with the boxes? I hope it's a bone or a toy or something - but I don't care - I know I will love it. Mommy always gives me good surprises.

On another note - Mommy got me a brand new crate/bed and I really love it - I was growing out of my other one - this one has LOTS of room - and it has a nice pillow for me to sleep on too - Mommy said, even though I can stay out of my crate more, I still need my own "girly" space sometimes, just like she has.

Here's a few pics of the boxes - WOW - lots of boxes! I wonder if my big surprise is in one of those boxes?

ANYA'S BEING A GOOD GIRL NOW!

January 10, 2012

I am learning to be such a good girl! Mommy is training me to be out of my crate and sometimes off-leash - and I did a great job last night!

Mommy keeps me in the kitchen at night with a long lead (not in the crate anymore) so I can play with my toys and get food and water - that way, if I have an accident, it's easier to clean up - however, I got loose last night (not sure how), and I did not bother Mommy or get into anything at all! I stayed in the kitchen and living room area, did not potty on anything, and when she got ready for work this morning, I was by the front door ready to give her a big doggie kiss!

She is soooooooo proud of me and gave me lots of extra hugs!

P.S.
Mommy said she has a big surprise for me soon - and I can't wait to find out what it is!
